Steve's completed the Tough MudderHere’s Steve in his (nearly unrecognisable) Home-Start T-shirt having completed the Tough Mudder in an incredible 3.25 hours! Steve told us that they were really lucky that the rain held off while they were running and began again shortly after finishing.
Steve raised a whopping £455.00 (including gift aid); a massive thanks to Steve and thanks to all who supported him.
The results are in for the 2016 Quiz Night.
The 2016 Grand Charity Duck Race was a great success with all enjoying a wonderful afternoon.
Good News! see press release below from Children in Need.
'In Bournemouth an additional £9,996 will support the work of Home-Start South East Dorset with vulnerable children who are in their early years. The one year grant will help cover the cost of staff who will engage children and their parents in activities, such as arts and crafts, messy play in water or sand and explorationj to enhance their social and educational development. Parents are also engaged in group discussions where they can exchange positive parenting techniques with one another, and get practical advice from trained staff. Although each of the families attending sessions may be experiencing their own set of challenges, the group provides a non-judgmental environment where the whole family can enjoy quality time together'.
